Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

Draft notice: This is a starting draft, not a finished legal document. Have a lawyer review and customize it (especially the bracketed placeholders) before publishing or charging anyone money.

1. Who this agreement is between

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you," "your") and [Launch Media Brands / your legal entity name] ("SQUADONE," "we," "us"), governing your use of the SQUADONE application (the "Service").

2. The Service

SQUADONE is a family/household organization app providing a shared calendar, task tracking ("Focus"), lists, meal planning, a photo album, and related features, accessible via web browser.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. This Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect account information from children under 13. Names or other details you enter for family members (including minors) as part of your own household's private data are provided and controlled by you, the account holder, not by the family member themselves.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.
  • After the trial, your chosen plan (currently $5.99/month or $59.99/year) is charged automatically on a recurring basis until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card details.
  • You can cancel anytime through the in-app "Manage Subscription" link, which takes you to Stripe's billing portal. Canceling stops all future billing immediately, but does not end your access right away: you keep full access for the remainder of the billing period you already paid for (the rest of the month, if you're on the monthly plan, or the rest of the year, if you're on the annual plan).
  • We do not provide refunds for unused service. If you cancel partway through a paid period, you are not charged again, but the amount already paid for that period is not refunded — you simply keep access until it runs out.
  • We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload or enter (calendar events, photos, lists, etc. — "Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and display Your Content back to you as necessary to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it for purposes other than providing the Service to you, except as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to store or share unlawful content, attempt to access another account's data, disrupt the Service, or reverse-engineer it beyond what's permitted by law.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or fail to pay. On termination, Your Content may be deleted after a reasonable grace period.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law. [This section in particular needs jurisdiction-specific legal review.]

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes (e.g., via email or an in-app notice). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

[Placeholder — specify the state/country whose law governs this agreement, typically where your business is registered.]
