Enter your account's sign-in password to reset the Settings PIN.
Settings PIN

Changing your PIN re-locks immediately - you'll need to set a new PIN right after.
Account
This Device
Set up this specific device as one family member's own (their iPad), or keep it as a Shared Device (like the kitchen counter) that always shows everything.
Currently: Shared Device
Time Zone
Used to figure out the real-world moment behind every event/reminder time - Calendar event times, Reminders, and the Apple/Google/Outlook Calendar subscribe feed all rely on this being right. Auto-detected the first time SQUADONE loaded on any device in this SQUAD; change it here if that guess was wrong or your household has moved.
Weather
Add your city to show today's weather on the Dashboard - powered by Open-Meteo, no account or key needed.
Billing
🔒 Handled securely by Stripe — SQUADONE never sees or stores your card details.
Appearance
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog — Sunday Dinner at 6pm
Household Default — sets the app's color scheme and accent color for the shared/counter device and anyone who hasn't picked their own below - also used for the loading screen. Everyone's color (avatars, calendar, chat) always updates to match whenever you change this - see each family member's own color swatch below to pick something else, or revert to a recent custom pick.
My Appearance (this device only)
Overrides the Household Default above, just for whoever's signed in on this device - the shared/counter device and everyone else's stay exactly as set above. Shows up here because this device is currently assigned to a specific family member (Settings > This Device) rather than left as Shared.
Background Photo
Photo of the Day (Dashboard)
Controls the photo shown in the "Photo of the Day" widget on your Dashboard - separate from the Background Photo above.
Dark Mode
Only affects this device, not the rest of the household. "Match This Device" follows the tablet's own system Appearance setting - except on a Child's device, which defaults to Always Light regardless of the system setting, since a bright kid color scheme can be hard to read on a dark background.
Screensaver
Choose what shows when the screensaver (🌙 button) is on.
Custom Wallpaper always shows one photo you choose, instead of Photo Slideshow's whole-album rotation.
Google Calendar Sync
Paste a Google OAuth Client ID to pull your Google Calendar events in and push new events out. This app must be opened over http/https (not a local file) for Google sign-in to work.
How do I get a Google Client ID?
- Go to console.cloud.google.com and create a new project (any name).
- APIs & Services → Library → enable "Google Calendar API".
- APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen → set up as "External," add your Google account as a test user.
- APIs & Services → Credentials → Create Credentials → OAuth client ID → type "Web application".
- Under "Authorized JavaScript origins," add this app's web address (copy it from your browser's address bar).
- Copy the generated Client ID and paste it in the box above.
Outlook Calendar Sync
Paste a Microsoft Application (client) ID to pull your Outlook Calendar events in and push new events out - works with both personal Outlook/Hotmail accounts and work/school Microsoft 365 accounts. This app must be opened over http/https (not a local file) for Microsoft sign-in to work.
How do I get a Microsoft Client ID?
- Go to portal.azure.com and sign in with any Microsoft account (a paid Azure subscription isn't required).
- Search for "App registrations" → New registration.
- Name it anything. Under "Supported account types," choose "Accounts in any organizational directory and personal Microsoft accounts."
- Under "Redirect URI," choose platform "Single-page application (SPA)" and enter this app's web address (copy it from your browser's address bar).
- Click Register, then copy the Application (client) ID from the Overview page.
- API permissions → Add a permission → Microsoft Graph → Delegated permissions → check Calendars.ReadWrite → Add permissions.
- Paste the Client ID in the box above.
Subscribe from Apple Calendar
Shows this SQUAD's Calendar in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook - view-only, and it refreshes every few hours on its own. Editing an event there won't change it here.
How do I add this to my calendar app?
iPhone/iPad/Mac: tap Copy Link above, then go to the Settings app → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, and paste the link.
Google Calendar or Outlook instead: tap Copy Link above, then in that calendar app use its own "Add calendar → From URL" option and paste the link.
One shared link per household - it may take a few seconds to appear the first time you add it, and later updates follow that app's own refresh schedule (usually every few hours), not instantly.
Notifications
Turns push notifications on or off for this specific device - each phone, tablet, or computer needs its own. Once on, set a reminder from any Calendar event or Focus item and this device will get a notification even if the app isn't open. New Family Chat messages are covered too - any device with this turned on gets notified when someone else in the squad sends a message.
Reminders go to the right person, not everyone: if this device is set up as a specific family member's (see the "This Device" card), it only gets that person's own reminders, plus anything on the whole family's calendar. A Shared Device (the default until someone sets it up) gets every reminder, so nothing ever gets lost to a device nobody's claimed.
iPhone/iPad: add SQUADONE to your Home Screen first (Share → Add to Home Screen) - a regular Safari browser tab can't receive push notifications at all.
Android/Chrome/computer: no extra step - Turn On below works right away.

Accessibility
Scales text (and the rest of the layout) up app-wide, for anyone who reads the screen from across the kitchen.
Boosts text and border contrast on top of whichever Color Scheme is selected above.
Turns off crossfades, slide transitions, and small delight animations throughout the app.
Shows an on-screen banner when the Tools > Timer finishes, in addition to the sound - so it's noticeable from any tab if you're deaf, hard of hearing, or just not within earshot.
Reward Requests
When someone redeems a reward, their stars are set aside right away and it lands here for you to approve (or decline, which refunds the stars) with your PIN.
Rewards
Define what Focus stars can be redeemed for, and check off who can redeem each one (Child/Teen/Adult, any combination). Only you can add or remove options here. On the shared device, rewards show up grouped into Kid/Teen/Adult folders on the SQUAD tab, with Adult Rewards kept behind your Settings PIN.
Redemption History
Rewards that have been approved and actually delivered, for reference.
SQUAD Settings
Give your family/household a name - shown on the Dashboard, Calendar, and around the app.
